THE CATAWBA BASKETBALL CAMP is one the oldest and largest camps in the country. The camp in it's 44th year is directed by Jim Baker, Head Basketball Coach at Catawba College and Assistant Coaches Bill Haggerty and Marvin Moore. The basketball camp program consist of six camps:
The Catawba Individual Camps for boys and girls ages 7 to 15. Full day. The Catawba Basketball Beginner Camps for boys and girls ages 5 to 8. Half day. The Catawba Basketball Team Camp for boys. Junior high to high school varsity teams. The "Position Play Camp For Post and Guards" for boys ages 13 to 18. Day & boarding. The "Skills & Drills Camps" for boys and girls ages 8 to 15. Two hour session. The Catawba Basketball Christmas Camp for boys and girls ages 5 to 15.
Since 1993, over 16,772 young people have attended the camps at Catawba. Fourteen campers have gone on to sign basketball scholarships with Catawba including four with the 2006 recruiting class.
